WHY GET TESTED?
It is estimated that 1 in 5 people infected with HIV don’t know their status. You can be infected with HIV and not feel sick or show symptoms. If you’re infected with HIV, you risk passing it to your sexual partners.
If you are sexually active, especially if you’re having unprotected sex, you should get tested regularly.
Testing is quick (results in about 20 minutes), affordable (suggested donation), and is done confidentially.
With early diagnosis, you can take steps to protect your health. Prompt medical care may delay the onset of AIDS and prevent certain life threatening conditions.
What’s more, if everyone were to know their status and get treatment, we could decrease the infection rate by up to 96%.Protect yourself. Protect your partners. Know your status.
